Completing Your “To Do” List

I don’t know about you, but I have a constant list of things to do or get done for myself and family. I personally feel like these types of lists can easily become overwhelming and somewhat of a hinderance or burden. I was thinking about how I like to go about checking things off and some things that work best for me. I would love to know anything that works well for you!

1.Chunk Up Big Tasks

Some items on our list are things or projects that are a big undertaking (ex: declutter). This can cause us to avoid the task all together or continuously put it off because it is naturally more extensive. I have found that “chunking” up those big tasks help not to cause overwhelm and for me to actually accomplish what I want to. Creating smaller tasks within a larger one will help the task to feel manageable and for me to be successful. These can be broken up however works best for you!

2.Space Tasks Out

Creating a game plan for your list or tasks is so helpful with accountability and keeping things manageable. I like to take my big list and break it up into monthly, weekly, and daily to dos. I also like to do this with our monthly deep cleaning which you can read more about here.

3.Prioritze Tasks

Assessing your list and deciding what is most important will help you manage what to get done when. I prefer to have a “must do” weekly list instead of daily because it reduces the pressure on tasks but still motivates me to get things done in a timely manner. If I have a larger task one week (ex: deep clean), I will balance with smaller and easier tasks so I am not overwhelming myself or being unrealistic.

What are some ways you keep up with your list?

As always, sending light and love.

10 Baby Items We Have Used Every Day

As we are getting closer to exiting the “baby” season and preparing for toddler life, I have been thinking about items that we use on a daily basis and have utilized since day one. I have shared different items we have used with each stage that you can look at here….9 Month Products, 6 Month Products, 4 Month Products, 12 Weeks Or Less Products

I thought I would share the items that we truly use day in and day out. Most have been used since birth and are my staple items since they are with me longer than a month or two period. I would love to know yours!

1.Crib

We used the crib immediately for day naps and as soon as our doctor recommended our boys moving out of our room for night. I have a waterproof protector on the mattress and keep around 4 fitted sheets that I rotate through with washes.

2.Monitor

We opted for a pretty basic monitor for both boys, and haven’t had any issues. As long as I can see them and hear them, I am happy!

3.Car Seat + Stroller

We use an infant car seat that can pop in and out of my jogging stroller which makes it so easy and convenient to have the car seat in or allow our son to sit in regularly. I also like that it has a basket at the bottom if I have any quick errands to run.

4.Diapers + Wipes

Our favorites are Pampers swaddlers and Water Wipes!

5.Bath Items

We only used a baby bathtub for first 6 months. We do use soap, wash cloths and towels daily and now we have tons of toys!

7.Feeding Items

This depends how you choose to feed your baby. Since I am exclusively breast feeding I do have all of my pumping, milk storage and bottles for when I am not with the boys.

8.Sleep Sacks

We have used a sleep sack since the hospital and absolutely love them.

9.Carrier

Our younger son absolutely loves the carrier I have for him. I used the newborn insert when he was tiny and still utilize it to have my hands free.

10.Changing Pad

We ended up using our older sons which has worked great with our younger. I love having something easy to clean and wipe down.

I can’t believe we will have a one year old soon!

As always, sending light and love.

Husband Easter Basket 2022

I recently shared ideas for our toddler and baby’s Easter baskets which you can check out below. I thought I would share what I am doing for my husband along with some simple ideas. This year my husband and I are sharing a basket, so I am keeping it minimal and practical. I would love to know if you like to gift your spouse anything for Easter and your go to items!

1.Swimsuit + Sunscreen

I have mentioned that our family receives a new swim suit for the season to continue my husband’s tradition growing up. I also give each person sunscreen to have a stock pile for the summer months.

2.Kitchen Items

My husband loves to cook and has mentioned a few small kitchen items. I went ahead and picked him up some new dish towels, small strainer, and pop strainer that he had on our family list. I tend to lean towards the practical and affordable items that we can actually use.

3.Thermal Mug

My husband loves to take a thermos of his coffee to work and has recently been drinking out of it around the house as well. I picked him up a Starbucks thermal mug to have for weekend mornings which I know he will get his use out of!

4.Basic T-Shirts

I have mentioned in gift videos that I tend to always throw in basic t-shirts for any of my husband’s gifts. He loves to lounge in them around the house so they are an easy go for him.

5.Golf Balls/Gloves

My husband loves to golf so gifting more balls and his favorite gloves are always appreciated. They are easy and something that will get used!

I would love for you to subscribe and connect!
