Organizing Hacks: Pantry

As many of you know, I love everything organized and orderly. I truly believe it helps me decrease stress and maintain a clear mind. I have a few posts on organization you can check out here (or under lifestyle tab): 5 Tips To Staying OrganizedMaintaining A Tidy HomeWeekly Cleaning Schedule.

I shared a post, Organizing Hacks: Paper Items that went over how I keep and file all of our documents and important information. I thought I would share another area of our home and how I keep it tidy. I don’t know about you, but our pantry can become a mess extremely quickly. We don’t have a large pantry, so I had to come up with a system that worked best for our space.

I like to use plastic bins to separate and organize things, as well as clear containers. The plastic is easy to clean (if needed) and a darker color helps keep it from looking dirty. We also have a built in over the door spice rack where we keep our spices, oils, nut butters, and essential oils. Additionally, I have 2 extra pull out drawers at the bottom where I keep paper goods, foil, bags, and all of that good stuff!

What are some ways you like to keep your pantry organized?

Large Bin Items

  • Can Goods
  • Baking, Pasta, Oils, Specialty Items
  • Snacks & Overflow

Medium Bin Items

  • Salad Toppings
  • Crackers & Oats
  • Sweets
  • Bars

Small Bin Items

  • Squeeze Packs

Clear Containers

  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Regular Flour

We try to buy primarily fresh food, so these bins never “overflow” unless it is a special occasion or event. We keep our coffee and protein powder in canisters next to our coffee pot that we refill once a month or so. It is so nice to keep everything grouped because I know when we are running out of something and can add it to our meal list! Happy organizing!

Blessings,

Jaclyn
